Tips for Swaddling Your Baby
The trend nowadays is to swaddle to help babies sleep at night. When Dr. Eric and Dr. Michelle had babies, they used blankets and wrapped them firmly to keep them warm and snug. Dr. Michelle checked the newest recommendations, and has some tips for new moms!
- Swaddling is a wonderful practice to help babies sleep better, especially if they are colic.
- After 3-4 months, one arm should be removed from the swaddle. That way, if the baby turns over, he/she can lift his/her head.
- By 9 months, swaddling is usually not necessary.
